Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The peak of the 2022 KIM Award event was held on Wednesday (7/12/2022) evening. The appreciation event for community information groups initiated by the Malang City Communication and Information Service (Diskominfo) was accompanied by the Launching Satu Data and Malpro at the Aria Gajayana Hotel.
Head of Malang City Communication and Information Service, Muhammad Nur Widianto, S.Sos said that the empowerment of the Community Information Group (KIM) was intended as a partner for the Malang City Government in the public information dissemination network.
"From a total of 57 sub-districts, KIMs have been formed in 34 sub-districts and 17 of them are participants in the 2022 KIM Award. As part of the development and appreciation of KIMs, the KIM Award was implemented," said Wiwid.
Wiwid further said that the KIM Award was held as a form of evaluation of the use of social media and websites in disseminating information and raising the potential of each region, as well as providing appreciation for KIMs that excel.
This year, the KIM Award carries the theme 'Empowered Economy'. Supporting this, the Communication and Information Office has also held various trainings for KIM to be more qualified and empowered. Some of the trainings provided include video production techniques, journalistic writing, and knowledge of digital economics. With the capabilities of KIM, it is hoped that the potential of each region can be published. In addition, it is also to increase the spirit of entrepreneurship, especially in the potential of the digital economy.
Wiwid also appreciated all KIMs that have been formed in Malang City. According to her, the 38 existing KIMs have been running well and on track. "For those who were selected as the best and announced earlier, the point is to manage information technology, social media so that they can be interactive. Then the videos and infographics that are made to speak properly, are easy to understand and digest," she said.
Meanwhile, the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji also appreciated the existence of KIM in Malang City. He hopes that KIM Malang City can play a role and increase public literacy by reporting correct news and of course must be in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
"Currently, we are required to work smart, work fast, and be productive. This acceleration and collaboration are inevitable. Thank you to our friends at KIM who have become partners to document and promote the potential of their regions," concluded Sutiaji.
In this event, appreciation was given to five KIMs who received the best scores this year. KIM Karangbesuki received the best predicate in this event. Followed by KIM Gerabah (Penanggungan Village) and KIM NUKUS (Sukun Village) as the second and third winners. Meanwhile, KIM Mbois Ilakes (Blimbing Village) was chosen as the first runner-up and KIM OBAMA (Bareng Village) as the second runner-up. (ari/ram)
