Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – Still in the series of Mother's Day 2022 commemorations, the Malang City PKK Task Force (TP) held embroidery bag training for PKK member mothers at the Kartini Imperial Building, Wednesday (7/12/2022).
Chairperson of the Malang City PKK TP, Widayati Sutiaji, S.Sos., MM said that this training was carried out based on the awareness that the economy, both nationally and globally, would be boosted by mothers.
"These trainings are actually strengthening MSMEs. Because, according to the data, MSMEs are projected to dominate the world in 2023," he said.
In addition, this training is also to encourage the campaign to use local products. According to him, the community should actually be proud of local products compared to using items that may look branded but turn out to be of poor quality or even counterfeit products.
"Therefore, today we prove that luxury does not have to be expensive. We should not be embarrassed, but we should be proud to use local products and products of our own creation," he said.
Widayati also added, with the advancement of technology, the movement of UMKM should be able to advance as well by conducting online sales. Because, currently it is not difficult to promote and market products through social media.
"The point is that nowadays, to sell our products we don't have to display goods, rent a shop and so on, we just take pictures of our products, then we publish them, God willing the reach will be even wider," he explained again. (ayu/ram)
