Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The paradigm shift of the state civil apparatus (ASN) along with Law Number 5 of 2014, must be well understood by every ASN of Malang City. Obedience to God Almighty and loyalty to Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution are principles that cannot be negotiated.
This was emphasized by the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji when taking the oath and inaugurating 211 functional officials within the Malang City Government in the 4th Floor Hall of the Mini Blok Office, Malang City Hall, Wednesday (7/12/2022).
"Show performance and loyalty to the country and nation. Work not (only for) personal, but institutional. So you should not work only for yourself, you must work together. Do not be stingy with knowledge. There should be no sectoral ego and lastly, maintain morals," said Sutiaji.
The bespectacled man further added that in the midst of a global situation that is not going well due to the financial, food and energy crisis, ASN is required to be productive and foster a creative work culture. Not just trapped in routine alone.
"Our work is not just leaving at 08.00 and returning at 16.00. But what we do. How far you as a child of the nation provide useful work for society, the nation and the state," he appealed.
Moreover, the role of functional positions is increasingly being promoted as an important part of bureaucratic meritocracy that emphasizes competence.
In the agenda which was also attended by the Deputy Mayor of Malang, Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko and the ranks of regional apparatus leaders, there were three main clusters of functional positions that were inaugurated. Namely 45 teachers, 100 health workers, and 66 technical workers. As for the job categories, there are 39 types of functional positions, all of which are designed to strengthen the performance of the Malang City Government. (ndu/ram)
