Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – Malang Mayor, Drs. H. Sutiaji said, the mental revolution creates a world-class bureaucracy and has a real impact. This was conveyed in an activity carrying the theme 'Mental Revolution with Strengthening Work Culture through the Implementation of ASN Integrity and Morality in the Malang City Government Environment' at the Malang Creative Center (MCC), Monday (12/12/2022).
In the activity attended by ASN in the Malang City Government (Pemkot) environment, he revealed that bureaucratic reform had entered the third stage for the 2021-2024 period to realize a dynamic bureaucracy towards a world-class bureaucracy.
"Where the president's direction on bureaucratic reform, among others, is bureaucracy that has an impact, namely felt directly by the community. Furthermore, bureaucratic reform is not a pile of paper, and bureaucracy is agile and fast," said Mayor Sutiaji.
He further added that the activity was in order to strengthen the president's vision and mission, namely the mental revolution. So he invited all ASN to jointly introspect and implement work pattern transformation.
"Transformation of work patterns with service orientation, accountable, creative, competent. Sat set wat wet, agile and adaptive. Then harmonious, loyal, collaborative and have a sense of crisis," he added.
Mayor Sutiaji invited ASN to change from the old pattern to the new pattern. He emphasized that "It Can Be Done". He said that currently the global situation is not good where the food crisis, financial crisis, energy crisis can have an impact on regional conflict, environmental degradation, moral degradation and radicalism and terrorism.
He advised the ASN present to be role models where the exemplary leadership is a great motivation for the organization. Not to be perfect but to be one who continues to improve.
"Let's maintain solidarity, one of which is by improving communication to understand and support each other. Eliminate sectoral egos, work together. Establish good internal and external communication, and strengthen collaboration to accelerate target achievement because there is no superman but we are a team," he continued.
There are several special concerns in the message delivered by Mayor Sutiaji, including for ASN to maintain neutrality in the election and carry out their duties professionally, not to be involved in practical politics. He also advised to increase vigilance by observing the potential for conflict, negative issues, and the dangers of radicalism and terrorism.
"Let's carry out the role of ASN as the glue of the unity and integrity of the Republic of Indonesia by maintaining conduciveness. Have sense of crisis "Next, present solutions to every community problem. Act wisely and continue to develop personal and organizational capacity, be creative, innovative, and consistent," he said.
Also present at the event were the Deputy Mayor of Malang, Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko, Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Malang City, Erik Setyo Santoso, ST., MT, heads of regional apparatus in the Malang City Government, ranks of sub-district heads and village heads of Malang City, as well as supervisors and school principals.
