Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – Malang City Inspectorate held a socialization of handling complaint reporting (whistleblowing system) at the Atria Hotel, Tuesday (13/12/2022). The aim is to prevent corruption, as well as improve the integrity of state civil servants (ASN) within the Malang City Government (Pemkot).

This program is an effort and commitment of the Malang City Government in realizing a clean and transparent government. The program is a mechanism for strengthening internal supervision. The goal is to expand external supervision control. In addition, it is also an effort to maintain the quality of public services.
Malang City Inspector, Drs. Mulyono, M.Si said, this activity is a routine agenda to remind each other to always be careful in acting. "It is scheduled to remind each other, that we have an obligation to respond to any type of complaint that comes in but which has the value of a complaint. So it is clear what is being complained about, about what, who is being complained about and who is complaining. Because currently there are hoaxes, there is hate. This is part of us and our friends together introspecting to remind each other. The key is there, so let's be careful and remind each other," said Mulyono in front of the regional, sub-district, and village apparatus.
Resource person from the Inspectorate of East Java Province, Agung Subali, ST. M. Ak. QGIA explained Whistleblowing System (WBS) is a system developed to receive complaints from internal parties to prevent acts of abuse of authority, violations of discipline, and criminal acts of corruption, collusion, and nepotism (KKN). The complaint handling team is then tasked with receiving complaints and then handling them according to procedures and authorities.
"The complainant or reporter has the right to complain, has the right to have his/her report or complaint heard. In addition, there is protection, but with this protection, it is not permissible to spread slander because there are sanctions," he explained.
He further explained that the reporter who complained in every process of the mechanism was protected from beginning to end. So he hopes that with this program they can remind each other. Complaint channels can be through various channels, such as social media WhatsApp and email, website, complaints via letter, face to face (verbal report). (eka/ram)
