Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) through the Directorate General (Ditjen) of Politics and General Government (Polpum) held a virtual Socialization of the Determination of Political Parties Participating in the 2024 Election, Wednesday (21/12/2022).

This socialization was carried out in order to support the success of the 2024 election, as well as to ensure the readiness of the central and regional governments in facing the turmoil that may occur among the community during the election season. As is known, the election event often causes conflict turmoil among the community.
Director of Domestic Politics, Directorate General of Polpum, Ministry of Home Affairs, Drs. Syarmadani hopes that through this socialization, local governments, both through the National Unity and Politics Agency (Bakesbangpol) and the Communication and Informatics Service (Kominfo), can disseminate the information obtained. It is hoped that it will be able to minimize misinformation and minimize the possibility of friction in society during the 2024 election season.
"I hope that all participants who attend can later disseminate information obtained from the resource persons. Because it is closely related to the organizers, election participants, especially political parties and how to maximize the role of local governments in order to support the success of the 2024 election," he said.

According to him, the success of the election is not only the responsibility of the election participants who have been determined, but also requires the participation of the organizers, government, security forces, NGOs/mass organizations, and the media which play an important role in disseminating information about this election.
"We both know that in making this election a success, it is not enough for just the participants, but there is a role for the organizers, government, press, media, how to socialize it, NGOs, mass organizations, and parties that have a real influence on our social community," he explained.
Syarmadani also mentioned that there are five indicators that can mark the success of the election. These indicators are, namely running smoothly according to plan until the end efficiently, then creating a trusted election organizer, producing the best people's choice, and without major problems or derivative problems, and the last is the participation of smart and responsible voters according to the target.
