Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government appreciates and fully supports the holding of the 'Kelampok Kasri Zaman Biyen' festival which will be held from 28-31 December 2022. The event, which was opened by the Deputy Mayor of Malang, Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko, presents various foods, snacks, drinks, craft products and cultural arts from ancient times. This festival is also enlivened by a fashion show made from recycled materials.
Such as serabi, cotton candy, corn rice and Terbangan art. After opening the event on Wednesday (28/12/2022), the man who is often called Bung Edi said that the festival initiated by the residents of Kelampok Kasri village, Gading Kasri sub-district, Klojen district is worthy of being imitated or duplicated by other villages.
According to him, from events like this can boost the economy of the community and increase the competitiveness of the region that started from a village. "The residents of this village are very united and have various creativity that deserves a thumbs up," explained Bung Edi.
In this village, explained the bespectacled man, basically has quite high potential. The majority of its residents are creative and various home businesses have been developing for a long time. "This is the first time and it is very clear that this is a citizen initiative even though this is also a program that we hope will run in each sub-district to strengthen the competitiveness of the sub-district and revive the economy after the pandemic," he said.
In order for these various products from residents to be competitive, Bung Edi emphasized that the Malang City Government provides full support. Such as free business permit processing and instructing related agencies to include quality products in the e-catalog. So that it will also help residents in terms of marketing. "To strengthen business capital, access to banking is also made easier and the Malang City Government is ready to facilitate," he said.
In addition, said Bung Edi, in this village there is also a great attraction and history, namely the Gading Islamic Boarding School which has been established since the colonial era. "At that time, this Islamic boarding school became one of the centers of struggle for the nation's fighters, especially the kiai to expel the colonizers," he concluded. (say/ram)
