Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji visited the Muhammadiyah Al Munawwarah Islamic Boarding School on Kyai Sofyan Yusuf Street Number 32, Kedungkandang, Malang City, Wednesday (28/12/2022).
Mayor Sutiaji said he was grateful that in the midst of his busy schedule he could still take the time to attend and visit the Muhammadiyah Al Munawwarah Islamic Boarding School. He said that his party had visited the Muhammadiyah-owned boarding school twice.
"We are very grateful for the role of the Muhammadiyah Al Munawwarah Islamic Boarding School in educating the next generation of Malang City. Hopefully it will bring many benefits," he continued.
According to Sutiaji, educating children is not easy. It takes struggle and hard work. Moreover, this Islamic boarding school is inhabited by 107 students. It takes patience and perseverance in educating the nation's generation. Sutiaji advised the students to be diligent in gaining knowledge and carrying out various activities at the Islamic boarding school.
"I think religious deepening is in Islamic boarding schools. Because every day we undergo qiyamullail. So that when we are adults, we will not be surprised to live in society, neighbors, and even in the country. Because we are used to doing good," he said.
The caretaker of the Muhammadiyah Al Munawwarah Islamic Boarding School, KH. Taufik Kusuma said that his party was very happy because it was visited by the Mayor of Malang. This became an encouragement and motivation for the teachers and students at this Islamic boarding school.
"In this Islamic boarding school, there are six ustaz who live here. In addition, there are also ustazah who come to teach here. While our students come from various regions in Indonesia," he said. (cah/ram)
