Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – 25 people were inaugurated and sworn in as the Malang City Sub-district Election Committee (PPK) for the 2024 Election at the Pelangi Hotel, Malang City, Wednesday (04/01/2023).

From five sub-districts in Malang City, PPK will be spread and in each sub-district five people will be placed as officers who are extensions of the Malang City KPU. The goal is that the implementation of the Simultaneous Election in 2024 will run safely, smoothly and conducively.
After the inauguration, the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji, advised the PPK to work optimally and carry out the people's mandate well. He said that after being inaugurated, there were many heavy tasks to be carried out. Such as if reflecting on the previous election, related to the validation of voter data in areas bordering Malang Regency.
The bespectacled man said that residents in several sub-districts in Lowokwaru and Sukun Districts were not recorded. "What we need to emphasize later is in areas that overlap with the city and district boundaries. In the past, when I was a PPK, there were still many, such as in Bukit Cemara Tujuh and in Dieng, they were not recorded by the district, nor by the city," he explained.
"From that condition, we hope that PPK officers can instruct officers at PPS and other devices. Don't let the rights of the community go unfulfilled because they are not on the voter list, and in the end cannot exercise their right to vote," hoped Mayor Sutiaji.
The same thing was conveyed by the Chairperson of the Malang City KPU, Aminah Asminingtyas. Responding to the various election phenomena, Aminah said that her party had conducted mapping and after this inauguration all PPK members underwent technical guidance (bimtek).
This veiled woman said that her party will also cooperate and collaborate with other parties, such as Bawaslu, Dispendukcapil and non-governmental organizations.
"Later after this there will be a technical guidance for PPK friends to map vulnerable areas together with Bawaslu and existing stakeholders. We have mapped everything including with related stakeholders, and if Dispendukcapil is clear because it is our main partner in voter data, voter data collection," he added.
Aminah added that other vulnerabilities are also a concern, not only voter data. Such as security in the nomination, the integrity of officers as organizers, and how the rules that must be obeyed by election participants and so on will be coordinated together. "Thus, an honest, fair, progressive and dignified election will be realized," he concluded. (say/yon)
