Breadfruit (malangkota.go.id) – Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji responded to complaints from residents whose activities were slightly disrupted due to the collapse of the Dieng Valley Bridge located in the Sukun District of Malang City.
Mayor Sutiaji said that his party had held a dialogue with the housing developer. As a result, the housing developer was willing to repair the Dieng Valley Bridge.
It is known that the Dieng Valley Bridge collapsed since May 2022, but until now it seems that there has been no repair or construction. The bridge that is the access in and out of the housing complex is temporarily covered with zinc and wood.
Regarding the bridge that has not been repaired, the Mayor of Malang has responded by reminding and requesting that further coordination be carried out immediately with the developer.
"At that time we had called, and there was a willingness from the developer to build a bridge," said Sutiaji after visiting the Vajra Bumi Kertanegara Temple located near the bridge, Thursday (5/1/2022).
"We will see again later. It is possible that if it is allowed by the rules, it will be built in 2024. It is impossible in 2023. This is still in the discussion process, let the sub-district head and village head see it, and the developer will also see it," he explained.
He emphasized that in this case the Malang City Government also has an interest in ensuring that residents have easy road access, especially since the Dieng Valley Bridge is also a road connecting Malang City and Malang Regency. (ari/yon)
