Relocation of Joint Health Center Waiting for Adequate Land

Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – In order to provide more optimal services, the Malang City Government (Pemkot) plans to relocate the Bareng Health Center, Klojen District. This relocation plan has been discussed since 2018 but has been hampered by several things.

Then in 2019, the relocation plan was included in the Malang City Regional Development Work Plan (RKPD) and was targeted to be built in 2021. However, this could not be realized again due to the global Covid-19 pandemic which caused a budget refocusing which delayed the realization of the relocation of the Bareng Health Center.

Now, the construction that should have been completed in 2022 last October has still been delayed due to the lack of adequate land. Several things were conveyed by the Head of the Malang City Health Service (Dinkes) dr. Husnul Muarif, Thursday (12/1/2023).

He added, if the land in 2023 is certain and can be determined, then a Detailed Engineering Design (DED) will be made immediately. After that, it will be continued for auction, and construction in 2024.

"The point is we are still waiting for the view or option of the land where. We need land for the construction of the health center around 2.000 to 2.500 meters. Later, the land will be determined by the Malang City Regional Finance and Asset Agency (BKAD)," he added.

The bespectacled man further said that later it would be the BKAD that would determine which Malang City Government assets could be used for the health center.

"We are still trying our best to find or propose land so that the Bareng Health Center can be built soon," said Husnul. (say/yon)
