While Cycling, Mayor of Malang Returns to Visit Residents

Lowokwaru (malangkota.go.id) – Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji accompanied by the Regional Secretary of Malang City and the ranks of the Malang City Government (Pemkot) again held a joint cycling (gowes) agenda which was combined with village visits to collect aspirations and see real conditions in the community, Friday (13/1/2023).

Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji when visiting Markati, one of the residents of RT3/RW 2 in Merjosari Village

The Mayor of Malang and his staff this time visited nine points in the areas of Merjosari Village, Tlogomas Village, and Dinoyo Village.

One of the residents visited was Markati, a resident of RT3/RW 2, Merjosari Village, Lowokwaru District, Malang City. Markati said that she did not expect the Mayor of Malang, Sutiaji, to come to visit her house along with all the heads of regional apparatus.

"Yesterday I got information from the RT that the Mayor (of Malang City) wanted to come here. Thank God it really came true," said Markati, Friday (14/1/2023).

Markati also admitted that she was happy with the presence of the Mayor of Malang who on this occasion also handed over aid. Because after her husband (Bambang Sunaryo) died 40 days ago due to a stroke for three years, she practically had no income.

"My husband died when he was 64 years old. Now I live with my second child. I have two children, the first is married and lives in Sawojajar," explained Markatik.

Markatik admitted that the government assistance like this was very helpful, because her second child was still in vocational school and of course needed money. She said that while her husband was gone, the 54-year-old woman worked odd jobs if there were neighbors in need.

"My income is uncertain, but I am always grateful to still be given health. I believe that in every difficulty, Allah will certainly provide ease. And I am very happy with this assistance, because at least it can ease the burden that I have had to bear all this time," said Markati.

On this occasion, the Mayor of Malang, Sutiaji, also handed over various other assistance to the community in need. In addition to distributing assistance to the Markati family, in this village visit activity, house renovation assistance was also symbolically handed over to the Harnawi and Siti Mukhlisah families, as well as assistance given to Suhariono, Samsul and toddler Desinta Bianca Amora.
