Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – With the still rampant problems of children, Malang City considers it very necessary to have regulations related to the protection and empowerment of children. That way it will also guarantee the safety, comfort and future of children to achieve what they aspire to. In addition, children will also receive a decent education.

Several things were conveyed by the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji, in the Plenary Meeting of the Delivery of the Explanation of the Mayor of Malang Regarding the Draft Regional Regulation (Ranperda) on Child-Friendly Cities (KLA) which was held at the Malang City DPRD Building, Monday (16/1/2023). According to him, this KLA Draft Regional Regulation is to provide an outline of what the government should do, such as facilitation, education and literacy which must continue to be strengthened.
"Second, there is a legal umbrella for the community when empowering children. Third, there is protection for children when they stumble upon legal problems, and so on. There are 16 chapters in this draft regulation and later it will be dissected together," continued the bespectacled man.
The number one person in the Malang City Government environment also felt sad considering the still rampant cases of child bullying and the behavior of irresponsible individuals who made children's cases viral. "Social media is almost uncontrollable. Therefore, every parent will be the main fortress for children," he explained.
In this draft regulation, the Mayor of Malang explained that it will also regulate how children get proper education and feel safe and comfortable while in educational institutions. "All parties must be involved and play an active role to realize all of that," he said.
Likewise for the independent learning methodology, where teaching resources are not only in the classroom, but also in the environment by creating a comfortable atmosphere. "Don't let children become victims and targets of violence, bullying and other problems in this program," he concluded. (say/yon)
