As in the previous agenda, the program to visit residents which was packaged by cycling together while greeting residents, there were eight points visited by the Mayor of Malang while handing over aid and seeing firsthand the real conditions in the community.

One of the residents who was visited was Agus Bambang Setyawan, a person with disabilities who lives on Jalan Bareng Raya 2 RT 4, Kauman Village, Klojen District, Malang City.

When meeting directly with the Mayor of Malang Sutiaji, Agus Bambang looked so happy. Although walking seemed difficult for him, the 37-year-old man, son of the (late) couple Edy Wahyono and Indrawati, seemed to want to come along and did not want to be separated when holding tightly to the Mayor of Malang.

Indrawati, Agus Bambang Setyawan's biological mother, said that even though she could not speak, her second son was very happy to be able to meet the Mayor of Malang and his mother in person. Moreover, for the past four years Agus and his mother have only lived together since his father passed away.

"My other three children have their own households. Agus is lonely, living only with me," she explained.

Indrawati said that Agus had a disability since birth. And after being examined by a doctor, it turned out that he had autism. Her son had been sent to school at YPAC but because of financial constraints he did not continue his education.

"After his father passed away, to meet Agus' needs, who at the age of 37 was still unable to be independent, I opened a business selling noodles and children's snacks," he said.

Meanwhile, Indrawati said that the obstacles faced were when he was sick, because Agus still had to be assisted to urinate, defecate, and bathe.

Agus also can't talk, so the treatment must be really extra. "Hopefully I can continue to be given health, strength and fortitude to be able to take care of Agus," Indrawati hoped.

When meeting with the Mayor of Malang, Indrawati could not hold back her tears. Moreover, in addition to handing over aid, the Mayor of Malang Sutiaji also promised that Agus would have his health checked at the hospital so that his health condition could improve.

"We are happy to receive attention with the presence of the mayor and his staff. Because after Agus' father died, I practically had to fight alone to be able to survive with Agus," explained Indrawati. (cah/yon)
