Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – At the end of 2022, the Malang City Government (Pemkot) through the Malang City Transportation Agency (Dishub) launched two free tour buses, namely the Malang City Tour (Macito). However, until early January, of the two tour buses, only one fleet was operating because they were still constrained by unfinished administrative matters.
However, the enthusiasm of the residents is very high to be able to enjoy city tours with the Macito bus. Since it was operated on January 9, 2023, at least 1.716 people have used the free Macito tour bus service.
Those are some of the things conveyed by the Land Transportation Analyst of the Malang City Transportation Agency, Ketut Wahyu, Thursday (26/1/2023). He added that every day Macito serves six trips carrying 20 to 22 passengers, the majority of whom are students.
For Malang City residents and tourists who want to explore Malang City with Macito bus for free, first register through the Macito application available on the Google Play Store. In addition, Ketut Wahyu also suggested that the public can register well in advance, considering the enthusiasm of the public who want to use the Macito bus service is very high.
Given the high enthusiasm of the residents, Ketut said that later the Malang City Government will add two more Macito buses by collaborating with a third party. "When there are four buses that will be operated regularly, only three buses, because one is for security in case there are activities or guests of the Malang City Government," he said. (say/yon)
