Increase Competitiveness, Disporapar Trains Beginner Entrepreneurs

Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government (Pemkot) through the Malang City Youth, Sports and Tourism Service (Disporapar) provided training for novice entrepreneurs at the Savana Hotel, Malang City, Thursday (26/1/2022).

Head of Disporapar Malang City, Baihaqi, S.Pd, SE, M.Si said that this training activity was in order to increase the competitive capacity of novice entrepreneurs, especially young people, related to packaging branding and digital marketing.

"The goal is to teach and help creative economy actors, especially young people, to better understand the importance of digital marketing to improve product quality," explained Baihaqi.

He further explained that with this packaging branding and digital marketing training, creative economy actors, especially young people, can learn how to choose packaging and branding for products before they are delivered to the market.

"In addition, through this training, it is hoped that it can improve good cooperative relations between creative economy business actors, namely youth and local governments," he added.

260 young people aged 16 to 30 years old participated in this training with great enthusiasm. Two resource persons who are experts in the field of packaging branding and digital marketing were also present, namely Erie Awalil Fakhri (Co-Founder of PT. Pijar Digital Indonesia) and Guruh AdiPurnomo (Operations Manager Sekawan Studio).

"Packaging branding is an effort made to introduce the identity or brand of a product through packaging with the aim of increasing the value of a product or service. So the goal is how to make good packaging and branding for our market. So when we make packaging, they are immediately interested in our product," explained Erie who is also a lecturer at one of the universities in Malang City.

In this training, participants were also given the opportunity to share and ask questions directly with the two speakers, such as tips on how to deal with obstacles that arise when starting a business, and so on, so that their business can grow further in the future.

It is hoped that through this activity to increase the capacity of novice entrepreneurs, it can encourage and grow new young entrepreneurs who are independent, creative, innovative and able to create various business opportunities or employment opportunities.

Alie Mulyanto, MM was present and opened the training which was also attended by sub-district heads and representatives of regional apparatuses within the Malang City Government. (yul/yon)
