Lowokwaru (malangkota.go.id) – After successfully making processed milkfish amplang crackers, the Omah Lawuh Processing and Marketing Group (Poklahsar) is now developing the business they pioneered by providing training to mothers in RW 12, Lowokwaru Village on Jalan Gilimanuk Gang IV, Lowokwaru Village, Friday (27/1/2023).
Head of Pohklasar Gilimanuk, Christina Maria Christanti, said that the training activity to make milkfish amplang crackers was an effort to help housewives in RW 12, Lowokwaru Village to have an income. Because after the last few months, her party made their own milkfish amplang crackers, it turned out that the orders were quite large.
"To be able to fulfill orders from the market, we finally got mothers in the RW 12 area to teach them how to make milkfish amplang crackers," said Christina, Friday (27/1).
In order for the training to run well and optimally, Christina said that each session has a limited number of participants. "So that the learning materials we provide can be absorbed well, we limit the maximum to only 12 people per training session. For that reason, we deliberately make the training as good as possible so that the training results can be maximized," explained Christina.
He further explained that he deliberately made amplang crackers from milkfish because apart from its delicious taste, he said that milkfish contains high nutritional value.
Such activities, he said, are part of an effort to reduce unemployment. In addition, it also supports the efforts of the Malang City Government to promote the Movement to Socialize Eating Fish (Gemarikan) in order to create a healthy, strong and intelligent generation.
He hopes that with residents having been given the skills to make milkfish crackers, in the future the RW 12 area of Lowokwaru sub-district can become a center for making milkfish crackers. (cah/yon)
