Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government (Pemkot) continues to strengthen the role of the Government Internal Supervisory Apparatus (APIP) effectively, including in overseeing city development.
In order to strengthen the APIP, the Malang City Regional Inspectorate carried out capacity building activities to increase understanding regarding abuse of authority and/or state/regional losses at the Mini Block Office Building, 4th Floor, Malang City Hall, Monday (30/1/2022).
Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji in his speech said that by strengthening the effective role of APIP, the aim is to prevent abuse of authority that can result in state/regional losses.
"So the key is we must be good state apparatus. Becoming a guard of how the process and implementation of the state can run well," said Mayor Sutiaji.
The bespectacled man further revealed that APIP has contributed to supporting bureaucratic reform towards good and clean governance through mitigation.
"Our mitigation goes into good governance, which means good governance in accordance with existing regulations. Is it in accordance with the regulations? Like how are the laws, government regulations (PP), ministerial regulations (permen), how are the regional regulations, then how are the mayoral regulations, so that there is no abuse of authority," he explained.
If the mitigations have been understood, Sutiaji said that good governance and good officers will be realized. He also advised that the collaboration pattern should not only be pentahelix and hexahelix, but also with the community to be better.
"For that, let's strengthen our character as children of the nation. How good governance is guarded by good apparatus, with the hope that there will be no abuse of authority," said the man who is a badminton enthusiast. (yul/yon)
