Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government (Pemkot) through the Public Welfare and Community Section of the Malang City Regional Secretariat held a Mental Spiritual Development Management Facilitation entitled '2023 Malang City Huffadz Development and Re-registration' at the Pelangi Hotel, Malang City, Tuesday (31/1/2022).
Head of the Social and Community Affairs Section of the Malang City Regional Secretariat, Drs. R. Achmad Mabrur explained that this activity was carried out in order to strengthen friendship, provide motivation and enthusiasm to hufaz in grounding the education of memorizing the Qur'an to the generation of Malang City.
"The first purpose and objective of this activity is to foster friendship between Quran memorization teachers internally, because they are spread across the Malang City area. In addition, it is to be able to get to know each other and foster friendship with the Mayor of Malang. Alhamdulillah, the previous year there were 98 people, and now there are 105 Quran memorizers," explained Mabrur when met after the activity.
The second objective, he explained, is that this activity is part of the coaching from the Malang City Government to provide motivation to the hufaz to be more enthusiastic in teaching the Qur'an.
"The third is to verify the existence of the teachers and also to evaluate whether they are still active. In addition, it is also a means of joint coordination, the first was a muzakarah activity, a scientific study. Then prepare a plan related to a routine meeting initiated by themselves. For evaluations related to what they have taught to the memorizers in Malang City," explained Mabrur.
The Malang City Government has currently launched character education, but that is still not enough because it requires support from all parties, including the hufaz in Malang City.
"Hopefully the spirit of the hufaz of Malang City will continue to be encouraged and strengthened so that learning the Qur'an in Malang City can become more down to earth," he hoped.
Mabrur said that this forum is also an opportunity for hufaz to exchange information regarding better learning methods, so that students can get better results and improve their quality.
Meanwhile, the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji, who was present virtually, appreciated and expressed his gratitude for the extraordinary participation of the hufaz who have educated the generation in Malang City through Al-Quran memorization education.
"It's extraordinary what you all have done by memorizing the Koran for generations in Malang City. "Hopefully in the future more and more generations will use the Al-Quran as a basis for their steps and movements in all walks of life," he said.
The Mayor of Malang also hopes that the increase in the Original Regional Income (PAD) of Malang City can be realized so that the attention to the welfare of hufaz that has been given by the Malang City Government can be increased. (yul/yon)
