Lowokwaru (malangkota.go.id) – After going through the selection process, finally 57 members of the Village-Level Election Supervisory Committee (Panwaslu) in Malang City were inaugurated at the Santika Hotel in Malang City, Monday (6/2/2023). After being sworn in, the Panwaslu from the 57 villages will undergo technical guidance to support their duties and responsibilities.
After the inauguration, the Regional Secretary of Malang City, Erik Setyo Santoso, ST, MT said that his party hopes that the Village Panwaslu can work according to the integrity that it must uphold. Seeing the performance of the elected Village Panwaslu, Erik said, it feels like that spirit can be implemented.
"From the mandate that is entrusted, we also hope that it can be carried out well, and they can work sincerely, with heart but still carefully. So that what is their duty and responsibility runs optimally," he added.
Regional Secretary Erik emphasized that various elements of the election organizers, including the Village Panwaslu, must be able to work according to the integrity they carry and be free from pressure from any party, so that in the future they will realize an honest, fair and dignified democratic party.
Meanwhile, the Coordinator of the Human Resources, Organization and Training Division of Malang City Bawaslu, Erna Al-Maghfiroh, revealed that the task of the Village Panwaslu will be quite heavy later. Especially in several villages with large areas, such as Bandungrejosari, Kotalama and Purwantoro. "Of the several things that must receive serious attention is the potential for money politics," he said.
The woman in hijab added that if one person is on duty in one sub-district it will be quite heavy, so in this case, the participation and active role of the community is needed to ease and help the Panwaslu of this Sub-district. "The community only needs to provide valid information so that it can be followed up immediately so that the Election process runs optimally and no parties are harmed," she concluded. (say/yon)
