SMKN 8 Malang City UKS Officer, Tania Agustiasari revealed that this activity is part of the Integrated Development Post (Posbindu) of Pandanwangi Health Center. "This activity is carried out in the context of health screening of female students, teachers and employees of SMKN 8 Malang City," explained Tania.

The examination includes measuring height, weight, waist circumference, blood pressure, blood sugar, uric acid and cholesterol. With activities like this, it is hoped that students, teachers, and all employees will realize how important it is to prevent rather than cure. "Especially preventing non-communicable diseases from occurring in yourself," said Tania.

In addition to the examination, vitamins were also given to participants during this activity. "After the examination, there will be an interview about non-communicable diseases. Such as diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol," explained Tania.

For female students, hemoglobin level checks are carried out using the Hb meter method using an Hb stick, and blood samples are taken from the fingertips.

"Hopefully with this check we can detect early if there are teachers or employees who are not healthy so they can be treated properly. In addition, with female students, because usually when girls menstruate they often faint or have other complaints. So with this Hb check we can detect early if there are female students who are sick," explained Tania.

The number of participants who took part in this examination was 155 female students, while for teachers and employees there were 86 people. This activity is a government program that was continued to the Pandanwangi Health Center and is now being carried out in schools.

Regarding the examination activities for students, why is it only done for female students, Tania explained that it was a request from the Pandanwangi Health Center. Because from experience so far, female students usually often experience anemia. "If not given blood-boosting tablets when they have anemia, female students can usually faint. For that, prevention and education must continue to be carried out," said Tania.

After SMKN 8 Malang City, the team from Pandanwangi Health Center will go around to other schools in its working area, both for junior high and vocational high schools. There are around 17 schools in the Pandanwangi Health Center's fostered area with a total of 776 targeted students. (cah/yon)
