Breadfruit (malangkota.go.id) – Residents of RW 1, Kebonsari Village, Sukun District, Malang City have interesting creativity by utilizing irrigation flows in the RT 4 and RT 09 areas for tilapia cultivation.
Sunardi, a resident of RT 4, RW 1, Kebonsari Subdistrict, said that before it was used by residents for tilapia cultivation, the irrigation in RW 1 was very dirty and not maintained.
"After we created irrigation for tilapia cultivation, the impact turned out to be positive, because residents became more active in cleaning the river so that the tilapia they raise can be healthy," explained Sunardi, Tuesday (14/2/2023).
From the cultivation of tilapia, residents are also increasingly communicating intensively to get the best to maintain the surrounding environment. From this activity, Sunardi said, it can now become a clean river movement, prosperous fish, happy farmers.
After the irrigation location became clean, now almost every day local residents and also newcomers are busy playing in the irrigation channel area. Either just to relax, or also to invite their children and grandchildren to play.
Seeing this good development, Sunardi added that in the future this area will also be equipped with Pasar Minggu. Currently the process is being communicated with Kelurahan Kebonsari to continue to be developed.
"Along the irrigation channel we plan to do paving so that when it is used for Pasar Minggu or roads it is not muddy or dusty," said Sunardi. (cah/yon)
