Breadfruit (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government through the Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing and Residential Areas Agency (DPUPRPKP) of Malang City held a Technical Coordination Meeting (Rakortek) for Verification of the 2024 Development Plan Proposal at the Ijen Suites Hotel and Convention, Malang City, Wednesday (15/2/2023).
Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji said that infrastructure performance is very strategic. This is because infrastructure can support the economy, equalize growth, strengthen competitiveness, improve quality of life, and answer city problems. In addition, infrastructure problems are always a public concern.
"For information, the performance achievement of the Infrastructure Service Quality Index (IKLI) continues to grow. In 2020 it was 4,06, then in 2021 it became 4,23 and in 2022 it was 4,36. To achieve reliable infrastructure, today we show that the government program is by needs, according to the needs of our society," he said.
The Mayor of Malang said that one of the models for strengthening development is through collaboration and is not individualistic. top down only. Sutiaji also expressed his appreciation for the role of all parties in every stage of development, including the planning of infrastructure development in 2024. Verification of proposals related to infrastructure in this activity was carried out for 178 proposals from the DPRD's main ideas (pokir) and 965 proposals from the results of the development planning meeting (musrenbang).
"Later, the proposals from musrenbang and pokir will be combined, hopefully in the implementation there will be no significant obstacles. And clearly the orientation is to translate what is the government's commitment, in this case in accordance with the 2024-2026 RPD," said Sutiaji.
The number one person in the Malang City Government asked for verification to be carried out in detail to minimize obstacles and hopes that all development agendas are carried out on target. Sutiaji also instructed that all proposals be aligned and their priorities determined.
"Please also improve the quality of planning, construction, and supervision of work. Planning details must be in line with community aspirations and technical rules. It is also important to choose competent and accountable providers," he said.
Furthermore, Sutiaji also encouraged infrastructure development to be responsive to the needs of vulnerable groups and gender. Strengthening development communication in the era of digital disruption also needs to be done to reduce disinformation.
Meanwhile, Secretary of DPUPRPKP Malang City, Dahat Sih Bagyono, ST said that there had been several proposals from musrenbang and pokir which his party would verify the proposals from musrenbang and pokir according to the provisions.
"We verify that the proposal is in accordance with the provisions we have set. For example, such as assets, whether they have become the property of the government or not. The targets are also in accordance with the service program or not," said Dahat.
Regarding large-scale infrastructure development, Dahat said that it is still based on community needs through musrenbang and pokir. Until now, the majority of proposals received related to infrastructure are related to roads, drainage and culverts.
Also present at the 2024 Infrastructure Development Proposal Verification activity were stakeholders in infrastructure development activities, namely members of the Malang City DPRD, regional apparatus, sub-district heads, village heads and LPMK from all sub-districts in Malang City. (ari/yon)
