Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang Swim Series II Swimming Competition Championship took place at the Gajayana Malang Swimming Pool from Friday, February 24, 2023 to Saturday (26/02/2023).
Head of the Youth, Sports and Tourism Agency (Diporapar) of Malang City, Baihaqi, S.Pd, SE, M.Si said that the Malang Swim Series swimming championship was the second. This is an annual agenda held by the All-Indonesia Swimming Association (PRSI) of Malang City.
"This extraordinary activity is the second Malang Swim Series. We welcome all participants of the Malang Swim Series II at the Gajayana Stadium, Malang City. For that, hopefully this activity will receive protection from God Almighty and this activity can run smoothly," hoped Baihaqi when opening the Malang Swim Series II, Friday (24/2/2023).
Malang Swim Series II was attended by 565 junior to senior participants. Not only from Malang City, but Malang Swim Series II participants came from Malang Raya including Batu City and Malang Regency.
"We are brothers, Malang City, Batu City and Malang Regency which we call Malang Raya are extraordinary. Let's bring together the glory of Malang Raya sports for East Java, Indonesia and the world," he said.
Through the Malang Swim Series II event, it is hoped that it will be able to attract and produce new seeds from the swimming sport, so that it can encourage the achievements of athletes to be able to compete in the regional and international arenas.
"Hopefully, there will be seeds of swimming athletes in Malang Raya who are able to compete in the regional arena of East Java, Indonesia and the world," he concluded. (yul/yon)
