Sutiaji together with the ranks of the Malang City Government (Pemkot) again greeted residents in the Sambang Warga activity which is routinely held every Friday. As usual, Sambang Warga which is packaged with cycling (gowes) sports together visited the Bakalankrajan Village and Bandungrejosari Village, Sukun District, Malang City, Friday (24/2/2023).
In these two sub-districts, the Mayor of Malang visited six points to distribute aid as well as to see the condition of the area firsthand. Interestingly, at the fifth point when visiting Mbah Paringsih (elderly) on Jl Klayatan II, the Mayor of Malang also inaugurated the Klayatan Raket Village. Rakets have indeed become a superior product and are a potential for the creative economy of the craft sub-sector in the Bandungrejosari area.
Sutiaji explained that the formation of Kampung Raket Klayatan began when a routine shopping activity was carried out several months ago at the same location. This shopping activity is a forum for the community to convey residents' problems to the Mayor and regional apparatus so that solutions can be provided immediately.
"From the shopping problem a few months ago, today it can be implemented in the PAK (Financial Budget Change). Yesterday it was budgeted, support extraordinary society. But it is not enough here, later like this we will strengthen it by building economic empowerment to be strong," said Sutiaji.
Furthermore, the man who also loves badminton said that later the Malang City Government could also help to expand the marketing of this racket product. In addition to targeting the local market share, it is hoped that these products will also be able to target regional and even international markets. According to him, even if the profit per unit obtained is not that much, but if the product can be marketed massively, of course the profit obtained will also multiply.
"We will see which market can be targeted, whether it is the local or regional market, if possible we will also cooperate with schools. In addition, we will also look at the market outside, so that it is competitive. Later we will also convey it to be marketed through e-Catalog. If it is through e-Catalog, it will be easy for everyone to see it throughout Indonesia," he added.
Apart from producing rackets, it is hoped that Klayatan Racket Village will also be able to produce... shuttlecock (kok). According to him, the need for kok is quite high. "I'll ask for it later, kok is already being produced here. Because of the need shuttlecock This is extraordinary because of its exhausting nature.
