This is the Message from the Mayor of Malang When Taking the Oath of 182 Civil Servants

Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji submitted the Decree (SK) for the appointment and took the oath/promise of Civil Servants (PNS) for the 2021 Formation in the Malang City Government (Pemkot) environment, Tuesday (7/3/2023). Followed by 182 Prospective Civil Servants (CPNS), the oath-taking was carried out at the Pertamina Student Center Building, SMK Negeri 2, Malang City.

Regional Secretary of Malang City, Erik Setyo Santoso, ST, MT, Assistant for General Administration of Malang City Regional Secretariat Sri Winarni, SH, Head of the Malang City Human Resources Development and Personnel Agency (BKPSDM), Drs. Totok Kasianto, as well as heads of regional apparatuses within the Malang City Government also witnessed the swearing-in.

After the oath-taking, Malang Mayor Sutiaji advised that state civil servants (ASN) must have a good work ethic. "The measure is performance, not likes or dislikes. So now we are building a merit system. Even though they are old or have worked for a long time, but are not productive, they must be ready to be overtaken by people with high productivity," he said.

The Mayor of Malang also encouraged the young generation of state apparatus to always excel and internalize and carry out the oath of office that has been said. In accordance with Law Number 5 of 2014 concerning State Civil Apparatus, Sutiaji said that the state really needs apparatus who have high commitment with good work ethic to increase public trust in the state and government.

"With the addition (of civil servants), hopefully it will be stronger. As a public servant, the goal is to provide better service to the community. There are 182 (civil servants) divided into various regional apparatuses. This time, the majority are health workers, so it is hoped that public awareness of health will also increase if we support it with good services," concluded Sutiaji. (ari/yon)
