Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Based on the spirit to continue to strengthen Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as a strategic economic pillar, the Malang City Government (Pemkot) launched an innovative shopping application for MSMEs Malang Buy Local Products (Malpro) for State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in the Mini Block Office yard of Malang City Hall, Monday (13/3/2023).
The application was born from the idea of the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji, who viewed that ASN Malang City had a strategic role and capacity in supporting policies to strengthen the economy and control inflation.
"After (the application) is launched, it is then used. What is included here are daily necessities, rice, oil, and others. The circulation of money below (micro) will be stronger plus solutions to suppress the Gini Ratio," explained Sutiaji
After the launch, Mayor Sutiaji immediately reviewed and shopped at a number of fostered MSME outlets that were presented.
According to data from the Malang City Communication and Informatics Agency (Diskominfo), there are 165 MSMEs registered in the Malpro application until the launch. Consisting of 119 businesses fostered by the Cooperatives, Industry and Trade Agency (Diskopindag) and 46 businesses fostered by the Malang City Food Security and Agriculture Agency (Dispangtan).
Assuming more than 6.300 ASN in the Malang City Government environment as its main users, the positive economic impact driven by the Malpro UMKM application has the potential to reach more than 30 billion rupiah per year.
"Later, the mayor's regulation will be made to regulate UMKM spending by ASN, so that it can be measured," added Sutiaji.
Meanwhile, Head of Malang City Communication and Information Office, Muhammad Nur Widianto, S.Sos added that the breakthrough of the UMKM shopping application initiated by the smart thinking of Malang Mayor Sutiaji also has various other integrated dimensions of benefits. Including supporting the development of the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) and collaboration with creative people in the game and application sub-sector in Malang City.
"The system is accommodated in two platforms. First, the Malpro marketplace application developed by the Diskominfo team is based on Android and a website. The second platform is the Tukusam application developed by Sahabat Komunitas (creative economy actors) which is an integrated recording and data collection application with Malpro. Which users also have the feature to add new stalls. We will continue to develop the features and convenience," explained the man who is familiarly called Wid.
The launch of the Malpro application was also enlivened by the provision of door prizes for ASN with the highest and fastest transaction value at this moment.
