Kedungkandang (malangkota.go.id) – In order for the existence of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to be more integrated and more massive, the Malang City Cooperatives, Industry and Trade Service (Diskopindag) will soon form MSME friends. This group will be formed at the RT, RW, sub-district and district levels.
Head of Malang City Trade and Industry Office Eko Sri Yuliadi when contacted via his cellphone, Tuesday (14/3/2023), said that anyone can become a member of UMKM friends, and most importantly have concern for the progress of UMKM. Such as community leaders, private companies, banks and BUMN.
Until now, Eko said in Malang City there are at least around 80 thousand MSME actors. Of this number, approximately 21 thousand have been curated, 5.000 of which already have a Business Identification Number (NIB) and 2.000 MSME actors have halal certificates.
From these UMKM friends, Eko is sure that UMKM players will be more advanced, developed, independent and competitive. Moreover, currently the Malang City Government already has an UMKM Malpro (Malang Buy Local Products) shopping application which was launched on Monday (13/3/2023) yesterday. This application will further strengthen UMKM players in terms of promotion and sales.
For MSMEs who excel, such as those who have penetrated the national market and/or export market, Eko said that his party will give awards later. Such as being involved when there are exhibitions at the national and international levels. "This is to spur all MSMEs to move up a class," he said. (say/yon)
