Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government (Pemkot) virtually participated in the 2023 National Regional Finance Coordination Meeting and APBD Award from the Ngalam Command Center (NCC) room of Malang City, Malang City Hall, Thursday (16/3/2023).

Also present at this national coordination meeting were the Malang City Regional Inspector, the Assistant for Economy and Development of the Malang City Regional Secretariat, the Head of the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) and the Head of the Malang City Regional Finance and Asset Agency (BKAD).
The National Coordination Meeting held by the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) carried the theme of accelerating the realization of the Regional Budget, handling inflation, stunting, extreme poverty and preparations for the Simultaneous Regional Elections which were the main topics of discussion.
Deputy Minister of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, John Wempi Wetipo in his speech again reminded the participants of the national coordination meeting to make efforts to accelerate the absorption of the realization of the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) so that it can increase household spending, which will ultimately improve the community's economy.
"In addition, the smooth flow of APBD spending will encourage private sector spending so that the regional economy will develop well," he explained.
The Deputy Minister of Home Affairs said that the realization of state revenue in the 2022 budget year reached 115,90 percent or Rp2.626,42 trillion, while the realization of regional registration until December 31, 2022 was 97,76 percent or Rp1.168 trillion. The realization of regional revenue increased by 1,60 percent from the realization of revenue as of December 31, 2021, which was 99,16 percent or Rp349 trillion when compared to the year on year of December 31, 2021.
He added that to encourage economic growth and control inflation, regional heads are expected to continue to monitor every week and maintain economic growth and control inflation.
"The contribution of regional economic growth is very important in supporting national economic growth which is the aggregate sum of provincial, district and city areas in Indonesia," he explained again.
The Deputy Minister of Home Affairs also mentioned that there are several points recommended by the Ministry of Home Affairs as a solution to accelerate the realization of APBD spending. Among them is to carry out early procurement starting at the end of August the previous year after the KUA-PPAS memorandum of understanding is signed by the Regional Head and the DPRD Leadership.
Then, accelerate shopping through e-Catalog, Local e-Catalog, online stores and the use of Regional Government Credit Cards (KKP), the appointment of Financial Management Officers and Goods or Services Procurement Officers without using the Fiscal Year.
Meanwhile, the Director General of Regional Financial Development of the Indonesian Ministry of Home Affairs, Agus Fatoni, said that the purpose of holding this coordination meeting was to strengthen coordination in the field of regional financial management.
"In addition, this national coordination meeting was also held to encourage increased performance of regional governments through accelerated absorption of the APBD (Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget)," he explained.
In line with the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs' statement, the Malang City Government has launched the Malang MSME shopping application Buy Local Products (Malpro) as an effort to continue to strengthen Malang City MSMEs.
The Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji at the time of the application's launch some time ago said that the Malpro application was launched to support the policy of strengthening the economy and controlling inflation. "After (the application) is launched, it will be used. The circulation of money below (micro) will be stronger, plus a solution to suppress the Gini Ratio," he explained at the launch of the Malpro application. (iu/yon)
