Prices of Basic Necessities at Klojen Market Monitored Stable

Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Entering the fifteenth day of the Holy Month of Ramadan 1444 Hijriah, the prices of basic necessities at Klojen Market, Malang City are seen to be stable. There was no significant price spike in the market located in the center of Malang City.

Grocery trader at Klojen Market, Budi Hananto said during this Ramadan the price of basic necessities in his shop is still stable, there is no price increase. In fact, some basic necessities such as eggs have decreased in price.

"As of today, the price of broiler chicken eggs is IDR 27.000 per kilogram. This is actually down compared to before Ramadan at IDR 29.000 per kilogram," explained Budi, Thursday (6/4/2023).

Likewise, subsidized cooking oil Minyakita is sold at the Highest Retail Price (HET) of Rp14.000. Other brands of cooking oil such as Sunco, he said, did not increase in price as before Ramadan.

Likewise with the price of rice, at the business place managed by Budi, the price is still stable. Moreover, in this fasting month, buyers who come to Klojen Market are also not as many as on normal days.

Meanwhile, one of the buyers at Klojen Market, Sri Wulandari said the prices of basic necessities at Klojen Market were still as usual without any spike. According to her, this condition occurred because before Ramadan the prices of basic necessities including basic necessities had already increased.

"For me, it doesn't matter if the price goes up, as long as the goods needed are available. While it's still not close to Lebaran when the market is usually crowded, today I'm shopping first," explained Sri.

Similarly, another buyer at Klojen Market, Handoko, also said that the price of basic necessities at Klojen Market is still as usual. He said that the stock of basic necessities is still abundant so that buyers do not need to worry about running out of goods.

"I went to the market today to buy rice, the price is still Rp13.000 per kilogram," said Handoko. (cah/yon)
