Lowokwaru (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government's (Pemkot) Ramadan Safari was held again. The Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji, together with the Malang City Government staff, this time visited the Al-Islami Mosque on Jl. Sudimoro, Mojolangu Village, Malang City, Sunday (9/4/2023).

In the mosque located in the Sudimoro Qur'an Village, Mayor Sutiaji gave a sermon on the virtues of the Qur'an which was revealed by Allah SWT to be a guideline/instruction for mankind in organizing their lives in order to obtain happiness in this world and the hereafter.
"The Quran contains procedures for living life, from when a person is born until the moment a person is taken by Allah SWT. Everything is regulated," said the bespectacled man.
The Qur'an, said Sutiaji, is a guide for believers, and is a differentiator between right and wrong. Therefore, the UIN Maliki alumni appreciated and invited the congregation present to be grateful for the Qur'an Village program in Sudimoro.
As a Quran Village, Sutiaji advised that the Quran should not only be interpreted by just reading it, but how the Quran should also be used as a guide and practiced in everyday life. "Alhamdulillah, in this Sudimoro Village, we can display the Quran as a guide to life, not only in words but also in actions," he added.
On this occasion, the Mayor of Malang also invited the congregation to always be grateful. "Thanks to Allah SWT we can live and carry out various activities, including today being gathered at the Al-Islami Mosque. From all the activities we carry out, the goal is to seek the pleasure of Allah SWT," said Sutiaji.
Meanwhile, the Secretary of the Qur'an Village, Mulyani, expressed gratitude for the presence of the Mayor of Malang and his staff at the Al-Islami Sudimoro Mosque. He said that the presence of the number one person in the Malang City Government was an encouragement for residents to continue to improve the spread of Islam.
"The presence of the Mayor of Malang at our place has increased our enthusiasm and motivation to continue developing the Sudimoro Quran Village," said Mulyani.
Regarding the program in the Sudimoro Qur'an Village, he explained that in addition to studying every Friday, this area also has the NGAOS or Ngaji On The Street program. The activity has been going on for a year by holding ngaji along Sudimoro Street every 05.00 WIB to 05.30 WIB.
In addition to studying the Koran, there are also house renovation programs, mentoring for elementary, junior high, and high school children, and establishing Qur'an houses in each RT.
