Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Runs at Night Across Malang Heritage Route

Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) of the Republic of Indonesia Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno sees great potential for collaboration in Malang City's heritage tourism. This was after he, together with the Mayor of Malang Sutiaji and the Malang Raya Running Community (Kolamara), held the Malang Night Run across the Malang City heritage route, Saturday (15/4/2023).

In the five-kilometer night run activity that started from the Kayutangan Heritage area, Minister Sandiaga witnessed firsthand the enthusiasm of Malang City residents who were spending the weekend in the Kayutangan area.

Not only was it crowded with people walking after tarawih, Kayutangan area that night was also enlivened by live music performances, various communities and residents who were exercising. The synergy between tourism and sports according to Minister Sandiaga could be an attraction of Malang City's excellence.

"If you look at it, this can be developed into a sports tourism event, because this is a Tourism City and the people also like to exercise. If combined, sports-based tourism," said Minister Sandiaga, who is familiarly called Mas Menteri.

Malang Mayor Sutiaji also responded positively to the suggestions and input given by Minister Sandiaga regarding the future development of Kampoeng Heritage Kayoetangan.

"Thank you for your input, Mr. Minister, because this is still being improved, so it can't be instant. Thank you and it must be. Including later when we have a parking lot, we will sterilize it," he said.

In addition to crossing the Kayutangan area, the Minister and Mayor of Malang who is also often called Sam Wali along with dozens of Malang Night Run participants also crossed the historical area of ​​Alun-Alun Tugu, Malang City Hall, Jalan Ijen before finishing at the Simpang Balapan area.
