Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – After the 2023 Semeru Ketupat Operation Troop Roll Call in the front yard of Malang City Hall, Monday (17/4/2023), the Malang City Police together with the Malang City Forkopimda continued the activity by destroying 1.300 pieces of evidence of alcoholic beverages.
The destruction was carried out by the Malang City Police Chief, Senior Commissioner Pol. Budi Hermanto, SIK, M.Si, the Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji, the Commander of the 0833 Malang City Military District, Lieutenant Colonel Kav. Heru Wibowo Sofa, the Regional Secretary of Malang City, religious leaders and community leaders, and representatives of the Malang City Forkopimda.
Malang City Police Chief Kombes Pol. Budi Hermanto, SIK, M.Si revealed that the confiscation and destruction of various types of alcoholic beverages were carried out at the beginning of the month of Ramadan 1444 Hijriah with the aim of maintaining the conduciveness of Malang City.
"The destruction of evidence is the result of the Enhanced Routine Activities (RKYD) operation during the month of Ramadan ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijri," he explained.
The RKYD operation was carried out from April 10 to 17, 2023, meaning that within a period of one week, the Malang City Police managed to secure 1.300 bottles of liquor. This is in order to honor our Muslim brothers and sisters who are fasting.
"This activity is also intended to reduce crime rates, riot rates, and chaos ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijri," he concluded. (cah/yon)
