Head of RW 2 Jodipan Village, Soni Parin, said that after the Covid-19 pandemic, the pulse of tourism to Kampung Warna Warni has begun to recover. He said that currently almost every day there are approximately 100 to 300 tourists who come to visit.

"Oddly enough, the current trend of visiting Kampung Warna Warni is foreign tourists. Out of 100 tourists who come, 70 to 80 of them are foreign tourists," explained Soni, Wednesday (3/5/2023).

Moreover, during the month of Ramadan and the joint holidays some time ago, he said that visits to Kampung Warna Warni had increased, especially visits from foreign tourists.

"I asked foreign tourists who came to our place, on average they were curious to come to Kampung Warna Warni after seeing it on the internet and YouTube," explained Soni.

From this fact, Soni is grateful for the many visitors who create content about the interestingness of Kampung Warna Warni. According to him, this is an effective promotional event that can attract tourists to come.

The Head of the Colorful Village Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis), Agus Kodar, admitted that visits to Colorful Village were dominated by foreign tourists. So far, his party has not researched what makes foreign tourists more dominant than local tourists.

"The point is we are happy that after Lebaran more tourists come to Kampung Warna Warni. This makes life in our village better," explained Agus.

Usually, foreign tourists are also interested in visiting Kampung Tridi and Kampung Biru Arema which are located not far from Kampung Warna Warni. For that reason, his party also coordinates with Pokdarwis Kampung Tridi and Kampung Biru Arema to further attract tourist visits. (cah/yon)
