Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – The Islamic Students Association (HMI) Malang Branch held an audience with the Chairperson of the Malang City Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) at the Malang City Bawaslu Office, Monday (8/5/2023). The Malang Branch of HMI also registered members of the 2024 Election Monitoring Body
As an independent organization, HMI is legally obliged to play an active role in the election monitoring system, so that it can create a democracy with integrity in the Malang City area.
The Head of the Malang HMI Branch for Political Democracy Development, Achmad Faizal N. Kuncoro, said that presenting quality and integrity-based elections requires synergy and collaboration from all stakeholders, including participation from the community.
"One of the real actions that can be taken to create a quality and integrity-based election is to register with the Malang City Bawaslu as an Election Monitoring Institution," said Faizal, his nickname.
It is known that the leadership transition process in 2024 will be carried out simultaneously. Therefore, the participatory supervision process at every level is very important. "The leadership transition process in 2024 has a very high level of complexity, it can be seen from how the election is carried out simultaneously," explained Faizal
With the presence of election monitoring institutions that have registered, Bawaslu is greatly assisted and opens its doors wide for registrants as observers. "In addition, HMI Malang Branch dedicates itself to being a critical partner and at the same time a strategic partner for Bawaslu Malang City in improving election supervision," continued the alumni of FEB UMM.
He said, HMI also has as a Cadre of the People and Cadre of the Nation, it is fitting that the spirit of Nationalism in each cadre is maintained and guarded. With its participation, HMI Malang Branch in this supervision can have a good impact on the future of Political Democracy Leadership in the future.
“The future is us. "As cadres of the Ummah and Nation, we will carry out future elections with an Indonesian spirit and be able to create a just and prosperous society blessed by Allah SWT," explained Faizal.
The steps taken by the Malang Branch of HMI received positive appreciation from the Head of Malang City Bawaslu Alim Mustofa. He also hopes that the election results will be in accordance with the expectations of this youth organization and the community in general. (say/yon)
