Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) of Malang City commemorated the 160th World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day by holding an assembly at the PMI Malang City Headquarters, Jl Buring, Oro-Oro Dowo, Klojen District, Malang City, Monday (8/5/2023).
The Head of PMI Malang City for the 2022-2027 period, Drs. Imam Buchori, M.Si said that the core of the global theme that was echoed was 'Everything We Do Comes #fromtheheart' is to help wholeheartedly.
"Therefore, I ask and hope that through this theme we will also celebrate and invite the honorary council, management, employees, and volunteers of the Malang City PMI and the people around us to continue to do good, and do it wholeheartedly to help others who are less fortunate and have experienced disasters," he invited.
Imam said that this commemoration aims to celebrate the existence of the World Red Cross and Red Crescent volunteer network. This moment is also to reaffirm the unwavering commitment to equal humanity and reflect on the basic principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
“This is a good time to celebrate the humanitarian spirit and appreciate those who have made the world a better place through humanitarian action,” said Imam.
