Lowokwaru (malangkota.go.id) – Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji advised prospective hajj pilgrims (JCH) to maintain clarity of intention. He conveyed this when opening the Hajj Manasik Guidance for Regular Hajj Pilgrims in Malang City in 1444 Hijri/2023 AD at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim, Malang City, Wednesday (10/5/2023).
In his speech, the Mayor of Malang, Sutiaji, said that the Hajj rituals were carried out with the intention of fulfilling the call of Allah SWT, and hopefully it will be a Hajj that is accepted.
He said, to go on the hajj, in the past the amount of money needed was relatively small, while now it is large. "God willing, never feel regret. When later in the Holy Land, everyone gathers, the hajj is the momentum of the hajj, that is tauhid," he said.
He added that the momentum of the Hajj pilgrimage is to upgrade our faith in Allah SWT. Often humans often in their lives postpone and ignore the call of Allah SWT.
"But sometimes we still put Allah SWT aside. We are still in the office, still concentrating on the computer, for traders who still prioritize their merchandise over the call of Allah SWT," explained Sutiaji.
The bespectacled man also hopes that when the pilgrims are in the Holy Land, they will truly be aware that only the ihram cloth is attached to their bodies.
"Family is left behind, wealth is left behind, because we only have one goal, only Allah SWT who gives everything. That is what we often forget, we leave our positions, what sticks to us is only a piece of white cloth, that's all," explained Sutiaji.
The number one person in the Malang City Government said that all pleasures come from Allah SWT, will return to Allah SWT, and in the future all must be accounted for before Allah SWT.
Therefore, the Mayor of Malang advised the prospective pilgrims to always maintain the clarity of their intentions. "The intention of this pilgrimage is to upgrade human faith and piety to Allah SWT. After the intention is arranged, the next thing to prepare is the provisions. Especially provisions of the heart, do not be instigated, do not be arrogant. Because in the Holy Land the reward from Allah SWT can be shown with the eyes of each human being," he concluded. (cah/yon)
