Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – To celebrate the 109th Anniversary of Malang City, the Youth, Sports and Tourism Agency (Disporapar) of Malang City will hold Malang Creativa # 2 with the spirit of independence, resilience and sustainability. Various series of events have been prepared in the event held in the Malang City Hall area on Saturday (13/5/2023).
Head of Disporapar Malang City, Baihaqi, revealed that the preparation of Malang Creativa #2 has been carried out optimally. "In accordance with the theme of the 109th Anniversary of Malang City that was raised, with an independent spirit, determined to take advantage of the momentum of economic growth and post-pandemic revival. Resilient in facing various sustainable economic challenges in an effort to achieve high competitiveness," explained Baihaqi, Thursday (11/5/2023).
Malang Creativa #2 which is scheduled to be held from 09.00 WIB to 20.00 WIB will present a series of events starting from the Recycled Fashion Creation Competition, Lantern Competition and Festival, Hidden Gem Bakso Malang Fest, to Traditional Sports Competition. Interesting performances will also be presented in this event.
He said, like the Recycled Fashion Creation Competition, it was held in order to find new potential in the fashion world in Malang City through innovations that have high aesthetic value and provide knowledge about the importance of the surrounding environment. For this competition, participants and fashion models are from vocational high school/high school students, college students and communities.
Meanwhile, the Lantern Festival was held to optimize the craft subsector in Malang City, especially lantern craftsmen. "The assessment criteria are creativity in terms of the shape or model of the lantern according to the theme, as well as the level of difficulty and aesthetic value," he explained.
Meanwhile, Hidden Gem Bakso Malang Fest is presented as a meeting place for the culinary tourism industry, especially bakso entrepreneurs, to meet each other and strengthen and establish communication. "Hidden Gem Bakso Malang Fest collaborates with ten bakso entrepreneurs spread across Malang City and there will be 1.000 free portions provided," he added.
For the Traditional Sports Competition, the sports that will be competed are stilts, long clogs, gobak sodor (hadang) and dagongan. "This competition is in order to preserve traditional sports in the era of technological advancement, especially for the younger generation so that they understand the importance of sports development among students or community organizations," he explained further.
With these various competitions, they also hope to be able to enliven the 109th anniversary of Malang City which carries the theme of Independent, Resilient and Sustainable. In addition, it is also a place to accommodate the extraordinary creativity of the Malang youth and can revive the joy of the community for traditional sports which are the extraordinary wealth of the Indonesian nation.
