Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Strengthening the supervisory function was one of the discussion points in the Plenary Meeting of the Malang City DPRD with the agenda of explaining the Mayor of Malang regarding the Draft Regional Regulation (Ranpenda) concerning Building Construction which was held in the Plenary Session Room of the Malang City DPRD, Thursday (11/5/2023).
Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji revealed that there are various things regulated in the Draft Regional Regulation on Buildings. Starting from general provisions, scope, function and classification, technical standards, implementation process, community roles, coaching, administrative sanctions and other provisions.
"There are regulations on several things, it is hoped that the supervision function of buildings can be strengthened. With the supervision of buildings and this building will provide mitigation to buildings," explained Sutiaji.
The bespectacled man further explained that this Draft Regional Regulation refers to the Job Creation Law and other laws, including the Regional Spatial Planning Plan (RTRW) and the Detailed Spatial Planning Plan (RDTK) of Malang City.
“In our RTRW, there are already provisions, for example, regarding building height and others. Certificate of Functional Worthiness (SLF) and other standards are mandatory, so that future supervision is strengthened, whether people are in accordance. Why should it be regulated? Because this is related to lives. These are the things that we must be observant and observe together. Alhamdulillah, now there is RTRW,” he explained.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Mayor of Malang, Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko, when reading the explanation of the Mayor of Malang regarding the Draft Regional Regulation on Building Construction, provided a special description of the draft regional regulation on building construction.

"This Draft Regional Regulation is to fulfill the needs of the community for a decent life, it is necessary to regulate building construction that is implemented in a manner and method according to its function. To realize a reliable, distinctive, balanced, harmonious and in harmony with its environment," explained the Deputy Mayor.
If it has been ratified, the man who is often called Bung Edi hopes that the Regional Regulation on Building Construction can later become one of the efforts to realize the rights of every person to live prosperously, have a place to live and obtain a good and healthy living environment.
