These two Islamic organizations also always support various government programs. Good synergy and cooperation are strongly established. However, Muhammadiyah and NU remain critical in overseeing policies, especially for the welfare of the people.
Several things were conveyed by the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji when attending the gathering and halalbihalal event of the Muhammadiyah extended family entitled 'Caring for Togetherness to Advance the City of Malang' at the Dome of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang, Sunday (14/5/2023).
The two largest Islamic organizations in Indonesia always strengthen each other. If there have been slight differences, such as in determining the beginning of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, according to him, it is a normal thing. "Things that do not need to be debated. Different is beautiful and not looking for who is wrong and who is right," explained the number one person in the Malang City Government.
Furthermore, Mayor Sutiaji said that where there is Muhammadiyah, there is NU, and vice versa. In the future, the bespectacled man invited to continue strengthening the good relations and friendship that have been built so far to realize Malang City to be more advanced and developed. (say/yon)
