Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The morning assembly of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in the Malang City Government (Pemkot) environment in the front yard of Malang City Hall, Monday (15/5/2023) was combined with the presentation of various awards. One of them was the presentation of an award certificate to voluntary blood donors by the Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji.
This award certificate from the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) was given to 349 people who volunteered to donate blood 50 times, volunteered to donate blood 75 times and blood donation organizer partners.
"I would like to thank the donors who started from 50 to 75 times. Alhamdulillah PMI Malang hassupport blood to various regions, not only covering Malang Raya. Malang is a semi-metropolitan city, but the awareness to donate is extraordinary. I say a thousand thanks," said Sutiaji.
The bespectacled man said that donors are a symbol of someone who is sincere and genuine. Where the award pin given is a small part of appreciation, but the main goal is to help others. This is an extraordinary commitment, because a drop of donated blood is very beneficial for the nation.
"We must learn from the donors, this is extraordinary. He never blamed who my blood would be donated to and for what. One of the most sincere acts of worship and charity is blood donation. This is a lesson for all of us, a mirror for us to do, not only donation but all actions if we submit to God with sincerity, God willing, will bear fruit," explained the man who is the Chairperson of the Indonesian Blood Donor Association, Malang City Branch for the 2021-2026 period.
Together with PMI, the number one person in the ranks of the Malang City Government continues to encourage, invite, support and cooperate with various institutions to donate blood. Blood donation, he said, is a very good habit, because there is courage, a soul of sacrifice and sincerity.
"To all ASN, let us emulate how donors can contribute, meaning that every activity carried out does not see who it is for. This is a lesson for all of us, our actions have an impact on goodness. We must emulate this moment together, these people donate blood for the common good," he said.
On this occasion, the Mayor of Malang symbolically also presented prizes to the winners of the Malang Creativa #2 series of competitions, including traditional sports competitions, meatball festivals, and recycled fashion creation competitions. "We express our gratitude and appreciation to the donors and all participants who participated in the series of competitions to commemorate the 109th Anniversary of Malang City," he said.
For the stilt competition, the first place was won by the Forda Team of Malang City, the second place was won by the Janti Community, the third place was Perumda Tugu Tirta & BKAD. For the interception competition, the first place was won by Nukus DOR, the second place was Janti Pink, the third place was Janti Blue. Meanwhile, for the long sandal competition, the first place was won by the Forda Team of Malang City, the second place was KKG PJOK Lowokwaru and the third place was the Department of Education and Culture. Meanwhile, for the meatball competition, the first place was won by Bakso Sri Sudarwati, the second place was Bakso Pit, and the third place was Bakso Cak So. For the recycled fashion creation competition, the first place was won by SMKN 3 Malang (number 07), the second place was SMAN 1 Malang (number 03), and the third place was SMAN 1 Malang (number 32).
