Mass Hajj ritual guidance organized by the Malang City Ministry of Religion Office

In this regard, 800 prospective hajj pilgrims participated in mass hajj manasik guidance organized by the Malang City Ministry of Religion Office at a state university in Malang City, Thursday (18/5/2023).

Head of the Hajj and Umrah Organization Section (PHU) of the Malang City Ministry of Religion Office, Mukhlis, said that this manasik guidance was attended by all Malang City JCHs who had paid in full. However, it turned out that there were also several participants who came from several other areas.

Mukhlis added that today the guidance that was carried out started from the office, so what should be done at the hotel, then to Arafah by bus with the intention of Hajj. Later the process of wukuf, after that move to Musdalifah, look for pebbles then pray.

“Next move to Mina to throw the jamrah, then carry out tawaf, sai. "So the hope is that when we do this, our prayers and intentions are right, including throwing the jamrah," he explained.

Then, Mukhlis emphasized that in the implementation of the manasik there are certainly different schools of thought. However, this is not a problem, because his party gives freedom to the congregation according to their beliefs.

"What we provide is alternative knowledge, it's up to the congregation to do which one they want to do. For example, on an airplane during a trip, of course some do tayammum, some don't pray but just do dhikr, some use minimalist ablution, the fiqh is all there. It's up to the congregation to apply it as they wish," he explained.

Regarding the pillars of hajj, according to him there is no difference. All are the same, starting from ihram, wukuf, tawaf, sai, shaving, and tartib. However, the difference is only when shaving hair. Mukhlis said there are those who shave until bald and there are also those who only shave part of the hair. (say/yon)
