Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – To continue to advance the world of photography in Malang City to be more prominent, Malang Photo Club (MPC) commemorated its 68th anniversary by holding a photo exhibition. The photography exhibition entitled 'Mata Emas 8' was held at the Malang Creative Center (MCC) Building, Malang City, Sunday (21/5).
The General Chairperson of MPC, Jayadi Sugito, explained that the Mata Emas 8 MPC exhibition had started since Saturday (20/5/2023). This exhibition is part of MPC's efforts to boost the enthusiasm of its members in working.
"The exhibition at MCC Malang City displays 80 of the best photos from MPC members. The photos displayed are the results of a monthly contest held by MPC," explained Jayadi.
Many themes are raised in the photographic works exhibited at MCC, including numbers, markets, and various other themes. The exhibition, which opened on May 20, 2023, will take place at MCC Malang City until May 28, 2023.
During the exhibition, there will be a series of interesting events, such as a photography stage with photos that tell stories, a photo marathon, a photography stage for surefire tricks to join the photo competition, and others.
This exhibition uses the tagline 'Foto Teroos' to spur the spirit of MPC members in creating after going through the Covid-19 pandemic. By continuing to work, it is hoped that it can provide more benefits for MPC member photographers and also society as a whole.
One of the visitors of the photo exhibition, Bagus Setiawan, said he was happy to be able to see the photo exhibition of MPC members' works firsthand. He was impressed with the quality of the photos displayed and hoped that it could be an inspiration to produce interesting photos.
"I'm still learning photography. Glad to see the works exhibited by MPC. Hopefully in the future I can also make good photos," he enthusiastically. (cah/yon)
