Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – All elements of society are urged to always be vigilant even though the surrounding environment looks safe. This calm and safe situation is sometimes exploited by criminals to commit crimes and intolerance.
This was conveyed by the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji on Thursday (25/5/2023). The appeal was conveyed in relation to the arrest of a suspected terrorist with the initials YR by Densus 88 Anti-terror on Tuesday (23/05/2023) in the Kedungkandang District area.
Before being arrested, it was known that the man from Surabaya worked for 3 three days at a bakery on Jalan Labu RT 1 RW 4 Kelurahan Bumiayu Kedungkandang District. Miftahul Huda as the RT head confirmed that YR was arrested by Polri personnel in the Kedungkandang district area.
Responding to this incident, Mayor Sutiaji also asked all his staff from sub-district heads to RT heads to conduct comprehensive data collection if there are new residents. "Immediately report to the relevant authorities if there are suspicious things," he appealed.
On the other hand, this bespectacled man did not deny that currently getting a new ID card is very easy. Residents can move addresses between cities/districts and get a new ID card through the Dispendukcapil of their place of origin to the destination.
"Previously, to get a new ID card, you had to go through the RT-RW first. Now it has been made easier, and this convenience is often exploited by certain individuals. Therefore, once again I emphasize that the RT/RW heads conduct more intensive data collection on their residents," explained Sutiaji. (say/yon)
