Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Health Service (Dinkes) held the 2023 Malang City Integrated Health Post Cadre Capacity Building Meeting at the Atria Hotel Ballroom, Malang City, Monday (29/5/2023).
Head of the Malang City Health Service (Dinkes), dr. Husnul Muarif said that this activity was carried out to realize the vision and mission of the Malang City Government in realizing national priority programs, including reducing maternal and infant mortality rates, accelerating the reduction of stunting, and also to increase the achievement of integrated health posts.
"These are three of the five national priority programs, which are also the concern of the Malang City Government. So it is necessary to improve the skills, soft skills, and others of health cadres," he said.
Husnul said, the posyandu cadres have a very important and strategic role, because they realize that to cover all activities and programs, it is impossible if it is only done by the Health Office itself. Therefore, the role of Posyandu cadres is needed to support these activities.
"Support from the community in the form of health cadres will be very supportive because they know the most about their environment, so it is hoped that there will be sharing information from cadres to the Community Health Center in their area," explained Husnul.
He further explained that from a total of 57 sub-districts in Malang City, there are more than 6.000 Posyandu cadres who can be an extension of the Health Office, especially in implementing priority programs. These cadres will later be able to detect and map the needs and referrals needed, which will later be re-evaluated by the Health Center.
Related to the capacity building carried out, Husnul hopes that the cadres can directly share the information obtained with the residents. That way, the target of the Malang City Government, especially in three programs, including accelerating the reduction of stunting, reducing maternal and infant mortality rates, and increasing the achievement of Posyandu can be met immediately.
"I hope that these cadres can immediately share the information obtained today, without reducing or exaggerating," he concluded. (iu/yon)
