Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government (Pemkot) has established cooperation with the Bengkulu City Government to expand promotion, product marketing and improve the competence of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. The cooperation between regions in order to utilize regional potential was marked by the signing of a joint agreement by the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji and the Mayor of Bengkulu H. Helmi Hasan, SE in the Malang Mayor's Meeting Room, Tuesday (30/5/2023).
On the same occasion, a cooperation agreement was also signed between the Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises Service of Bengkulu City and the Cooperatives, Industry and Trade Service (Diskopindag) of Malang City regarding the expansion of market share and increasing the competence of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
"We continue to develop MSMEs in Malang City, so we also continue to encourage the creative economy. Strengthening MSMEs on Digital Boarding is carried out from upstream to downstream through aspects of capital, capacity building, infrastructure, networks and partnerships, marketing and protection such as IPR facilitation, brand and business protection and strengthening regulations," explained Malang Mayor Sutiaji.
In addition to expanding marketing and improving the competence of MSMEs, this cooperation is also in order to support the central government's program on the use of local products/domestic products. As well as an effort to develop regional potential and improve public services to be effective and efficient.
One form of cooperation is in the form of promotion and marketing of MSME products at festivals/event. Meanwhile, to improve the competence of MSME actors, it is done through training for MSME actors.
"Digitalization is also continuously strengthened supported by the many universities in Malang City that provide human resources related to information technology. Digitalization of transactions via the local UMKM Malpro marketplace. Also the integration of the Tukusam application with the digital community. In addition, ASN as a pioneer in supporting UMKM digital onboarding. Synergy of UMKM facilitation in the procurement of goods/services (PBJ), strengthening the role of UMKM in PBJ is very strategic where the Malang City Government is recorded as having made the most transactions on Jatim Bejo and e-Catalog," explained the bespectacled man.
