Malang (malangkota.go.id) – In 2023, precisely in May, the Malang City Transportation Agency (Dishub) together with the Malang City Police Traffic Unit will install facilities and implement electronic ticketing or Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE). This aims to reduce the number of accidents and traffic violations.

However, because the detailed planning process of the performance description or Detail Engineering Design (DED) has not been completed, it is planned to be realized in June. Various acceleration steps will be taken so that what is planned can be realized immediately.
Head of Malang City Transportation Agency, Widjaja Saleh Putra revealed that for the initial stage, one unit will be installed first considering the budget needed is quite large. He said that the Malang City Government has provided a budget of around Rp1,8 billion.
"In the early stages, it does require a fairly large budget for the needs of a number of infrastructures such as servers. For the next one, it will not be that much if there are additions later," explained Widjaja, Thursday (1/6/2023).
When asked about the location of the ETLE installation later, the bespectacled man admitted that he could not yet determine the exact point. "We are processing it in stages, and after the DED is complete, we will determine the location of the ETLE installation and coordinate with the ranks of the Malang City Police Traffic Unit," he explained.
However, the man who is familiarly called Jaya said that his party has a picture of several strategic places. Such as at the intersection of Jaksa Agung Suprapto Street (in front of the Savana Hotel), the intersection of Jalan Gatot Subroto (next to the Eng An Kiong temple) and at the intersection of Jalan Ranugrati (direction to Sawojajar).
"That's just our picture, which we will discuss together later. What is certain is that it will only be in one place. The selection of this location will of course go through a number of considerations and priority scales," he concluded. (say/yon)
