The Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji acted as the Inspector of the Pancasila Birth Day Commemoration Ceremony held in the front yard of Malang City Hall

In his message, Mayor Sutiaji reminded the importance of mutual cooperation as the spirit of Pancasila to be implemented by all Indonesian people. This is because the Indonesian nation is so complex and consists of various differences. Apart from the complexity of the Indonesian nation itself, the onslaught of globalization which not only has positive but also negative impacts can be a threat to the Indonesian nation itself in maintaining its dignity as a united nation.

"Therefore, on this occasion we take the theme of interpreting and implementing mutual cooperation in strengthening the strength of our nation in facing global issues," he said.

Sutiaji said that the founders of the Indonesian nation were very visionary when pioneering this country, including when formulating Pancasila. He considered the state philosophy that had been hatched in Pancasila to be extraordinary, because one principle and another supported each other.

Therefore, Sutiaji said that it is important to make Pancasila Birth Day a momentum to perfect the values of Pancasila as the foundation of the nation, and to strengthen the essence of the identity of the Indonesian nation through mutual cooperation, which based on this principle is able to help the Indonesian nation to survive various global crises.

"Strengthening the spirit of mutual cooperation in order to build civilization and global growth, because in fact Indonesia has gone through various crises because it has a strong attitude, namely mutual cooperation, which is a manifestation of each of the principles of Pancasila," he said.

In the future, Sutiaji hopes that Indonesian society will be able to reflect the values of Pancasila in everyday behavior, not just mere words but also reflected in actions. According to him, what is now a big homework is how Pancasila does not castrate the values of life, but instead inspires in the lives and lives of all of us. In addition, how to pass on the values of Pancasila to the next generation as the spirit that guards the Indonesian nation.

"Transmit that pride to our successors, don't let Pancasila become just a name and history. But we need to internalize, implement and continue the struggle of the nation's founders," he concluded. (iu/yon)
