Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – In order to improve the knowledge and skills of the community in managing their villages, the Youth, Sports and Tourism Service (Disporapar) of Malang City held Technical Guidance (Bimtek) on Upgrading Villages Through Optimizing Local Potential at the Savana Hotel, Malang City, Tuesday (6/6/2023).
Head of the Malang City Disporapar Baihaqi S.Pd, SE, M.Si, CGCAE revealed that the basis for this activity was a proposal from the 2023 development planning meeting (musrenbang). "We all know that Malang City does not have natural tourist destinations, therefore, together we strengthen our creativity in order to develop the tourism sector in the villages in the sub-districts," explained Baihaqi, Tuesday (6/6/2023).
In addition, with this activity, it is hoped that public awareness will be embedded to understand and optimize local potential. "This technical guidance activity is held for two days. The first is class material, the second is practice by conducting field visits," explained Baihaqi.
Participants who participated in this activity were 133 participants from the sub-districts in Malang City. Among them were the sub-districts of Arjosari, Bakalan Krajan, Blimbing, Cemorokandang, Dinoyo, Karangbesuki, Kauman, Kedungkandang, Rampal Claket, Kesatrian, Ketawanggede, Polehan, Purwantoro, Sukoharjo, Sukun, Tasikmadu, Tulusrejo, Sawojajar and KNPI Malang City.
Baihaqi hopes that this activity will create a comfortable and safe destination for visitors or tourists who come to Malang City so that the percentage of visits to Malang City will increase. In addition, this activity is also expected to improve the quality of knowledge and tourism human resources in Malang City which is an important factor and greatly supports the progress of tourism development in Malang City.
Meanwhile, the Assistant for Government and Public Welfare of the Regional Secretariat of Malang City, Dr. Ida Ayu Made Wahyuni, SH, M.Si said that the tourism sector of Malang City does not have to talk about natural tourist attractions alone, because Malang Raya has it all.
"Guests who come from outside Malang City, especially young people, besides going to villages in Malang City, also come to Batu City and Malang Regency," said Ida.
With this condition, Malang City will not differentiate tourist attractions based on administrative boundaries. And this is where Malang City excels in its village tourism attractions because thematic village tourism can attract tourists and support its citizens.
“There is Kampung Warna Warni, Kampung Tridi, Kampung Biru Arema, and others. "These are developed villages," explained Ida.
The large number of people coming to Malang City is an extraordinary opportunity for the development of thematic villages in Malang City so that they can be more advanced and independent. (cah/yon)
