Lowokwaru (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud) through the Early Childhood Education (PAUD) and Non-Formal Education (PLS)/Non-Formal Education (PNF) Development Division also contributed to reducing stunting rates through an event entitled 'PAUD Institutional and Management Development' at the Sukun District Office Hall, Malang City, Thursday (15/6/2023).
Carrying the theme 'Holistic and Integrative PAUD Strengthening' dozens of PAUD teachers were gathered to gain various knowledge. Not only equipped with various teaching material knowledge, this program is also focused on preventing and suppressing stunting rates, so that the existence of PAUD institutions is more optimal.
Head of PAUD and PNF Development Division of Malang City Education and Culture Office, Dra. Andayun Sri Afriana when met on the sidelines of the event revealed that in this program, her party will coordinate and collaborate with other regional apparatuses (OPD) so that there is no overlapping handling, such as the Population and Civil Registration Office, DinsosP3AP2KB, and Health Office.
"With more and more PDs having programs like this, in the future the stunting rate in Malang City will be able to be suppressed well in a short time. Our program will target five sub-districts in Malang City, and if possible, down to the village level so that the results are even more optimal," explained Andayun.
The woman in hijab added that these PAUD teachers when teaching will convey various things to their students about healthy food, healthy living and the importance of maintaining cleanliness. For example, to always consume 4 healthy 5 perfect foods and not consume unhealthy snacks.
"Not only when they are at school, these PAUD teachers are encouraged to also invite the community around their homes in efforts to prevent and handle stunting rates. By working together, the target, namely reducing stunting rates to zero, will be realized. Therefore, let us care for each other and share with others," concluded Andayun. (say/yon)
